The National Archaeological Site of Locros is one of the largest in Calabria and is located on the site of the ancient Greek colony of Locri Epizephyrii. It comprises two main museum complexes: the National Archaeological Museum, which focuses on the Greek period, and the Casino Macrì Museum Complex, which showcases findings from the Roman and Late Roman periods. Visitors can follow four thematic routes, featuring architectural remains, sanctuaries, settlements and harbour structures. Highlights include the Hellenistic theatre, the baths and the Museum of Roman Locri, which houses significant exhibits. Special provision is made for children through the Museo dei Ragazzi, offering a range of educational activities.
